What is it?
The Autisme Centraal Trajectory is an intensive one-year programme that turns professionals in care and education into experts in autistic thinking and the AutismeCentraalMethodiek.
The AutismeCentraalMethodology is the most complete approach to understanding autism from the perspective of the person with autism. It offers practical strategies to improve communication and interaction, tailored to each person’s individuality, needs and way of thinking. With its focus on empowerment and understanding, it helps professionals work more effectively and improve quality of life.
The programme is designed for those who truly want to make a difference in the lives of people with autism, regardless of age or level of development. It bridges theory and practice: you learn the latest insights and apply them directly in your work.
It includes inspiring theory sessions, a unique two-day lived experience training with people with autism, engaging lectures, and supervision with feedback based on your own video material. Intensive assignments sharpen your skills. The highlight is creating your own personal toolkit, and you receive guidance, even after the programme ends, to develop a product that lastingly improves the lives of people with autism.

Waarom kiezen voor ons?
What fundamentally distinguishes our annual training from postgraduate programmes at educational institutions is that the entire course is supported by one methodology: the AutismCentralMethodology. Where academic postgraduates often consist of a series of standalone subjects and guest lecturers, our methodology forms the common thread throughout the entire process. Everything, from the first to the last lesson day, builds on the same framework.
That makes the difference: no fragmented knowledge, but a coherent framework that is directly applicable in practice.

Voor wie
De opleiding is bedoeld voor professionals die:
- To be working in care or education and regularly dealing with the support of individuals with autism;
- At least possess a higher professional education (NL) or graduate (VL) level qualification in the field of health, education or social services. Candidates who do not have this but believe that they have sufficient experience through work to follow the training can submit an application;
- To work with multiple individuals with autism (regardless of age or intellectual level), so that you can use the training for multiple people with autism; preferably, there is an orthopedagogue, psychologist or behavioural scientist within the structure of your own institution who can be involved in the action planning and execution of the assignments that arise from this training.
- Being motivated to start a learning process in which reflection on one's own professional practice in relation to autistic thinking is central.

Er zijn verschillende mogelijkheden welke door onze studenten ACT gebruikt worden om korting of een bijdrage te verkrijgen voor het volgen van het ACT traject:

- Many of our students working in education and care can claim financial support from their employer.
- Parents of someone with an autism spectrum disorder, people with an autism spectrum disorder, and participants from Flanders receive a 10% discount on the net price.
- In addition, students can declare the study costs as a deductible item on their personal tax return, which must be submitted to the tax office by 1 April. Inquire with the tax office about the possibilities and conditions for your specific situation.
