Clients with ASD face very specific challenges in their environment. Not understanding and not being understood. Small misunderstandings can sometimes accumulate and become major obstacles. Even within therapeutic guidance, the tuning in can sometimes proceed just a bit differently.
Through this six-day programme, you will learn how an autism-friendly approach can make a significant difference. We start with an important foundation: understanding how someone with ASD perceives the world. From there, we see how small adjustments in the space and during the sessions can already bring about a lot.
The AutismCentral Methodology forms our main pillar during this training. The six core concepts of this methodology receive a concrete translation into therapy practice. And thus, we provide you with sufficient tools as an autism-friendly therapist.
The control panel of the methodology empowers you to translate all tips into your practice. And at the end of this process, you will demonstrate through a processing exercise that you have sufficiently mastered the content to make your therapy sessions autism-friendly.
This certified six-day training is open to all therapists who support individuals with ASD who have normal to high abilities within a therapeutic setting. It is primarily aimed at adolescents and adults, but the principles can easily be adapted for children.
